There is a job vacancy in the department Competitiveness and Social Development for a
Gross salary according to German public service tariff (TVÖD) up to € 49.000,00 depending on qualifications.
The position can be filled from 1 July 2013 and is currently limited until 31 December 2014. The person will mainly be engaged with our research project on „Managing the transition to inclusive and sustainable energy systems“. This project analyses concepts and incentive schemes for socially inclusive deployment of sustainable energy technologies in developing countries. Focusing on national policy measures, it will address the questions 1) how can sustainable energy technologies be deployed on a large scale? and 2) how can sustainable energy policies be designed and sequenced to benefit the poor?
Qualifications and requirements:

- Masters degree preferably in political science or economics, preferably PhD;
- Proven knowledge in technology and policy research in the field of energy efficiency or renewable energies;
- Professional experience in developing countries;
- Fluent spoken and written English;
- Willingness and aptness to travel abroad, including countries with a tropical climate.
