The new post-2015 global agenda is a unique opportunity for boosting international cooperation and making progress towards inclusive and environmentally sustainable development. For this purpose, it is necessary to (a) overcome the conceptual, political and institutional barriers in integrating human development and environmental sustainability, and (b) improve coordination and coherence between domestic policies and external relations.
