Alumnus of DIE-Postgraduate Training Programme appointed new Chairman of the Board of Management of DEG

Starting 1 October 2009, Bruno Wenn of KfW Bankengruppe – alumnus of the 17th Postgraduate Training Programme 1981/1982 of the German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE) – will take up his new position as Chairman of the Board of Management of DEG - Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH. With Bruno Wenn yet another DIE-alumnus has reached a high-ranking position in the field of German or international development cooperation respectively.

“I am very happy”, states DIE’s Head of the Training Department Thomas Fues, “that such a distinguished expert as Bruno Wenn with a long-term professional record of development cooperation has been appointed to this important post at DEG. Having been the Head of Mr. Wenn’s Country Working Group 1982 in Lesotho I have gotten to know him as a highly motivated and engaged colleague.
