Organisational Culture

The interdisciplinary approach and the interplay between Research, Policy Advice and Professional Training characterise the distinctive profile of the German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE). The Institute supports creativity, professional collaboration among its employees as well as training and a constructive discourse. To ensure the quality of our work, DIE has established internal and external quality assurance instruments and applies the Corporate Governance Codex. In addition, the Institute recognises the principles presented by the German Research Foundation / Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) for safeguarding good scientific practice and preventing scientific misconduct. DIE strives to ensure a discrimination-free work environment and is committed to the goals of equal opportunity and gender equality. Our family-friendly personnel policies to reconcile work and family life were certified in 2012 by the family audit (berufundfamilie).
