In the context of this year’s spring meeting of the SDSN Leadership Council and the T20 Summit, SDSN Germany together with the European Business Ethics Network Deutschland & 2°Foundation welcomed more than 80 guests to an interactive business dinner on May 30th in Berlin. The event brought together members of the SDSN Leadership Council and leading business representatives for a lively discussion under the theme “Transformative businesses for sustainable societies – Sharing German and international experiences”.

Birgit Klesper, Senior VP Group Transformational Change & Corporate Responsibility at Deutsche Telekom, welcomed the guests in the representative office of Deutsche Telekom in Berlin. Markus Conrad, former CEO of Tchibo and currently member of the board of the European Business Ethics Network Deutschland, held a keynote on business and sustainable development. The event allowed an intensive exchange between experts from different perspectives. Dirk Messner, director of the German Development Institute, and Jeffrey Sachs, director of SDSN, closed the event with remarks on the impact of business on sustainable development.
