With the negotiation on the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) post-2020, the Eu will have to answer the question of what policy objectives it intends to pursue by the end of the decade. The Agenda 2030 for sustainable development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) could provide a normative starting point for socially, environmentally and economically sustainable EU-budget.
The workshop will discuss various options on how to link the MFF negotiations and the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and by doing this, developing a central political idea for the MFF and for the European Union as a whole.
