UNFCCC Mini Side-Event: NDC Explorer - analyse and compare countries' NDCs

UNFCCC Mini Side-Event

Bonn, 17.05.2017

German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE)

The NDC Explorer is the to-go-page to analyse and compare both qualitative and quantitative NDC content. Moreover, the NDC Explorer stimulates the debate on content, scope as well as formulation and implementation processes of the national climate action plans.

The NDC Explorer was jointly established by the German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE), the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) and the African Centre for Technology Studies (ACTS), and in cooperation with the UNFCCC secretariat.

During the side-event, DIE presented the NDC Explorer, highlighting its usefulness for promoting NDC implementation and discussing its potential to contribute to the goals of the NDC Partnership, a (new) global initiative to help countries achieve their national climate commitments.
