Building on achievements of the 2012 UN Conference on Sustainable Development ("Rio+20"), Member States called for defining a universal development agenda, inclusive of sustainable development goals, based on common but differentiated principles. Since Rio+20, Member States and the UN system have been engaged, albeit distinctly, in devising visions and approaches toward pursuing inclusive and integrated policies conducive to a sustainable Post 2015 Development Agenda. An examination of how the UN System and Members States are advancing in their respective frameworks, coordinating mechanisms and planning approaches for this Post 2015 agenda, is critical to ensure its inclusiveness and effectiveness. Through the Quadrennial Comprehensive Policy Review (QCPR), the Post 2015 agenda‟s implementation may enjoy system-wide coherence and realization.
