Government procurement internationalisation has been the explicit objective of many initiatives at the WTO; even though we know little about how open procurement markets actually are in developing countries, or how effective trade disciplines are to that end. This paper suggests they are not.
Do INDCs lead to self-differentiation of countries' responsibilities to address climate change? Trade finance can be an important driver for international trade. We analyse a panel data set on export credit insurance and trade flows for 215 destinations for the period 2005-2013 and find that imports to developing countries are heavily supported by a higher flow of trade credit insurance.
